    • Isaac Hill is buried in Center Hill Cemetery, just outside the enclosed plot for Hugh Lawson White Hill and his wife and in-laws. McMinnville, TN, Hill's Creek Area.
      His headstone reads:
      "Sacred to the memory of
      Isaac Hill, Sr.
      born Sept. 20, 1797
      died Oct. 16, 1871"

*Note: although his headstone says "Sr." , this is actually Isaac, grandson of Isaac Sr., but who became "Sr." after the elder Isaac died.

Isaac married his grandfather's step-daughter (Eliza was daughter of Lydia White Jones (Hill) Hill and William Hill, and Lydia was Isaac's Sr.'s second wife, bringing her two daughters by Wm. Hill to the marriage.) This made Eliza his step-aunt as well as his wife. She was his first wife. He married twice more after her death in 1859.

The 1850 census for Warren County, TN shows the Isaac Hill household as:

RIN Family Sex Name Age Occ Land Birthplace
03477,0561-05,F,Catherine,A.,Hill,19,,,VA (Catherine Daniels, wife of Israel Putnam Hill)

*Note: William C. Hill, age 30, is Wm. Carroll Hill, half-brother to Isaac, son of H.J.A. Hill and Polly Johnston.

Oldest daugher Louisa was married to Abner Woodlee by 1845 and in her own household as was duaghter, Lydia, who married Elijah Martin in 1844. Other children confirmed are William C., and Israel Putnam. The Woodlee children are likely related in some manner, probably grandchildren.
