- More research is needed on Francis Rogers. She married Jesse Pleasant Hill about 1830, probably in TN, where they had eight children together before going to AL, where Jesse became the first probate judge of DeKalb Co., AL. Jesse died in AL in April of 1848. His two youngest children also died later that year in 1848. (The last one or two children may have been born in AL). Three of the remaining five children have been found living with the Smith and Moffitt families in Warren Co., TN on the 1850 census. The three oldest children and Francis Rogers herself are unaccounted for. Did Francis die? Did she remain in AL? What became of her and the other children?
